Well, I'm not gonna disagree with the basic premise of your statements. Your passion is admirable. Many HS coaches are great mentors, technically sound and give an enormous amount to their programs.
However, there is no way you can unilaterally declare that all HS coaches fit in that category.
When you take a look at the spectrum of coaches across all classifications you will find everything from solid ex-college wrestlers to former HS wrestlers who didn't place at state. There are limitless examples of just how wide the spectrum is. Some never wrestled and don't know the first thing about developing a wrestler, but they run a program nonetheless and do a decent job.
I stand by my original post that feeder clubs make or break a Top 5 HS program. Top 5 being what kind of placement they get at the classic.
A good HS coach builds from what the clubs do and what they can provide. The club program and the HS program co-exist and complement one another.
It's not a US vs Them thing when it works. And there's nothing wrong with Clubs getting some recognition in a discussion forum.
