I'm not a coach with a decent kid on my squad who can't get over the hump in a tough regional. And certainly can sympathize with that kid/coach as they watch less worthy kids go to the Dome who had easier paths through their own Regionals.

That's a bad draw situation and it's part of the any sport or activity.

Without going backwards and re-hashing:

Eliminating Regionals and watering down the Mat Classic for the sake of a few ill-fated wrestlers in a tough regional is not worth it for the integrity of the Mat Classic and the sport overall in WA.

Sounds like you actually do place an importance on "Getting to State". It's just for certain area's with Regional tournaments you've deemed too tough to exist.
