In 3A for example, Metro held 25% of the spots to the state tournament and would be their own region most years. That leaves 12 spots for other wrestlers. You're telling me the best wrestlers are at state when everyone in the state, but Metro, is fighting for 12 spots? The answer is no, you can't get the best kids to state in that format.

Then the bracket itself with 16 people, you win two matches and you're a state placer? When 25% of the bracket is filled with Metro kids? Come on.
