Seat Alhambra 2004 - No remote key fob operation, no VCDS Comms with central locking #

As above.

Central locking works fine on the key but not from the remote fob.

Batteries changed on fob, LED flashes when button is pressed.

However, there is no comms with the central locking via VCDS. According to autodata, this model should have the controller as part of the fusebox. The main fuse is intact.

There are no fault codes.

I have tried to web search the issue but have found nothing relevant, Any suggestions as to where to go from here??

Have you checked key for any Rf output?There is a re-sync procedure by putting key in driver door lock,turning and pressing remote button.

Hi paul. if you go onto the site below it will tell you how to reprogram the remote. you need to keys. also if you have vcds
you can program with that easly.

This is the procedure to setup a keyfob:
put key in driver door lock (all windows closed)

turn to unlock position 3 times holding for approx 1/2 second each time & within 5 seconds! remove the key & observe the red led in the door flash

press & hold lock botton

whilst still pressing "lock" press & release "unlock" 3 times, the door LED & the key fob LED should now flash 5 times to indicate you were successful.

if you have another key, you must repeat from "press & hold lock button" & work fairly quickly (book says within 15 seconds for each key) if no second key then wait until door LED goes out & then try the remote key fob

Hi, The manual reset seems not to work.

I also only have one key (Alternative reset procedures seem to need at least two keys)

But the main issue to my mind is that I do not seem to be able to make any VAG-COM communication with the remote locking ecu.

This is why I am thinking that this is the issue rather than the key fob.

Autodata is unclear as to where the ECU actually is and how one might access it.

I "Think" it is behind the fuse box, but it looks awkward to get to and I would like somebody to confirm this before I go to the effort of dismantling the dashboard.

The best way to stop "thinking" where it is, is to put the chassis number into erwin.

HI Paul. have you not tried to reprogram the remote with vag com
go into 46 central conv then 10 adaption so on there is a youtube
video on how to program.

Hi,

I will say this again...

I have no comms with the central/remote locking via VAG-COM/VCDS

Neither group 35 nor group 46 will communicate.

(VAG-COM error "No response from controller" )

The red LED on the drivers door does not flash when the lock is operated manually.

The central locking does work on the key however

(IE all doors open/lock though sometimes the alarm goes off after unlocking the car if I do not start it)

Looked at one of these today(galaxy variant).The CCM is part of the fuse box below steering.Access with Vcds in 09,central electronics.I managed to re-sync the remote key using the manual method on drivers door,but had to remove the handle and use a screwdriver as the key barrel was fooked.Are you sure there is an Rf output from the key?
