Peugeot 308 2008 - Lost keys - Fixed #

Year of Manufacture *: 2008

WE have lost the key for Peugeot 308..
Customer not got spare so order new one and security code from dealer.
New key did not work in barrel but would unlock doors...
Now replaced lock set but cant program key using Autocom and security code given by dealer who say its right one for car..
Has any got any ideas how i can get over this problem??
Has anyone got Peugeot planet and will that get security code front system??
Any help would be great as customer is now asking me to buy car off him as we have had the car two weeks waiting for key.

Hi

Sounds a frustrating situation ! Autocom is limited on key programming and I think peugeot use a few different systems.

A good auto lock smith would probably be the best way forward.

If you post your location someone may advise a suitable contact.

Afaik, planet will not readout any security codes but believe AD100 can pull some CAN based PSA codes.

I'd think maybe its had its id changed so possibly a new ecu, bsi etc as I can't think how the dealer supplied info could be wrong. (Unless a genuine error has occurred)

One other suggestion is maybe try another company such as autosecuritycodes.com just to see if they supply same detsils. Obvously a waste of money if its the same.

How did you unlock the door if the key number was wrong, maybe they only changed the transponder chip over but kept the same lockset.

Replaced lock set. Locksmith reprogrammed.
Expensive mistake but s##t happens

Have you any idea how he obtained the correct immobiliser code if the dealer supplied info was incorrect.

The code given to me by the dealer was correct but Autocom was not up to the job.
I think locksmith used A.D key tool

lesson learned I should have got locksmith in the first place would has save me alot of hassle.

Hindsight a wonderful thing
