at last just got home with a big smile on face.
i have gone over every thing again . i found that the lifters were still soft so removed glow plugs and cranked over faster until they primed up , then re bled the pump refitted everything and hey presto . as long as we have start up in the morning i think all is going to be well !!!!

possibly tired pump or tired me
