Done head gasket, car had mixed fluids and was overheating. Skimed head rebuilt with new gaskets (sdr 322 SET) & headbolts torqued as per autodata. Now car idles very roughly and LOTS of steam from exhaust, more than you would expect from water in the exhaust, car does not fail hydrocarbon test ( blue fluid ). Have had inlet manifold back off and replaced gasket just to be sure. Put pressure test on cooling system and left overnight, no drop in pressure and no moisture on tops of pistons. We have done loads of these in the past without any trouble, any suggestions welcome.
