Hi Steve
I have used a new tensioner and tension indicator, I am sure it has something to do with the work carried out 35.000mls ago. A recon head, three notch gasket (differance of 4thou to the original) and the repairer told me he had the same problem tensioning the belt so he fitted a thicker one. The part number he gave me is the belt for the escort, basicly the same just a differant app, but not thicker. I've had enough for now so I shut the bonnet and pushed it outside... I will dig the big hole tomorrow.Thanx for your input
