Hi folks.. I just wonder if any of you could help with this one.. its due tomorrow but I thought Id try and get some upfront info as I dont have much to do with them! Ive searched the archives and come up with (and filed) several pages of material which seem to point to a general dizzy problem.
Now..Im told this is whats happened thus far.
The customer and his 'mechanic friend' was testing things to see why the car seemed to be running wth a slight misfire. Im told a "garage"-- told him to bridge the end of an ht lead with a screwdriver to the engine block.. it produced a spark.. and then the engine has never run since!
My guess , and it is a guess at this stage, (sort of telephone diagnosis but keeping thoughts to myself!O) - was that he may have double-barrelled the ecu.. but the archives as I say, do seem to poing to the dizzy. He mentioned that at some time in the recent past "it has had a stator - so its not that" - but of course it may well be due to his pre historic and ill advised testing methods!
Anyhow... I would really appreciate any forward help.. As its Mazda diagnostics I dont have any equip. to pull codes etc.

    Thanks in advance --
    Mike
