    Hi Gary,
    It is not part of the Volvo service schedule but I always recommend this is done after about 70k or 5/6 years. The trouble is that Volvo will quote for a service without doing this and the customer then thinks we are taking the p**s. We then spend half an hour explaining this along with timing belt tensioners and water pumps etc. This sort of thing will always be a problem unless the vm's "get real" and stop things like brake fluid changes every 2 years or cabin filters every year (yes, I do know about legionairs disease and that brake fluid is hygroscopic) and concentrate on things that actually need doing.
