Hi Gary,A lot of schedules do state to go that far,mainly on bigger services.If it is not in the schedule to do so or the particular manufacturer does not list it at all we always advise customer what the brake design is like and that we can gain less h/brake reserve travel they normally agree for us to pull discs off. We then usually find linings are partially unbonded,contact surfaces in discs corroded and quite often retainers bend/snap due to unused surfaces which tnen gains us more work ( new discs, handbrake shoes, retaining kits)We show the customer the knackered parts and everyone is happy.
