One thing that worries me is that a lot of these modern vehicles are worthless before they are ten years old, and then the cost of a few relatively normal repairs makes them scrap.
Now what if the likes of Hyundai start offering a seven year warranty with seven years free servicing (no doubt it will have the usual get out clauses but they will have the customer by the proverbials by then anyway). So, by the time the car eventually comes to an independent it won't be worth repairing.
I suppose it won't be to bad if it is just Hyundai
