The on and off switches for the compressor are found on a 'manifold' just in front of the rear axle. Both were permenant short circuit on our truck. Everything now works except the handbrake warning light - another faulty switch on the hose to the spring chambers. I think that if the 'off' switch packs up, the system goes up a fair way before the safety valve kicks in and by that time some of the other switches have been taken beyond their elastic limit.
I now have several diagrams if anyone ever needs anything.
