These were *so* corroded I think the tops would have fallen off within a week or two of their own accord without my help.
The remaining steel was, literally, paper thin.
I have always been nervous of easy-outs since (25 years ago or so) I broke one only to he told that since they are hardened steel, they cannot be drilled (Cost me an engine block!)
