Hi Rob if you check thru the data groups with a certain scantool you will find the reported alternator load signal normally reported as % but sometimes as a Mili/sec reading. If the unit is a DFM terminal model you can check with a scope to see that the signal is present & changes with alternator load (will be square wave with changing pulsewidth & some times frequency)the signal will normally be pulled up to either 5v or B+ dependent on the system.HTH lance
