As Mark says it can be fun with these. I have done a swap on a Seat using Autologic. A log was taken from the replacement ECU and sent to AL. They then provided me with the PIN for the replacement ECU and I was able to extract the PIN from the car with Autologic.
After that it was a case of adapting the "new" ecu to the car.
You may have someone near you with AL but there are other pieces of equipment that could do it.
I am unsure of Ross-Techs policy on logs / pin codes but they never used to be very helpful on that front for obvious reasons.
