I still see lots of "Cat efficiency" P0420 issues when aftermarket cheap shit have been fitted.
R103 converters that should be equal to the original specification are not. I my opinion they have made no difference at all.
It always makes me laugh that, motor Factors and Exhaust fitters say there is nothing wrong with it. But always swap them for another sub standard CAT. which again after about a week later the P0420 is back.
fit a genuine CAT and the car never returns with the fault P0420.... I wonder why.
Also how come the original CAT last somewhere between 7 and 10 years.
The aftermarket ones last from one MOT to the Next.
