I don't know about the "inevitable storm of sarcasm", but I am genuinely interested to understand the thought process that lead up to the replacement of the catalyst.

God knows these cats are fragile, but I think this one was replaced without justification. The worrying thing is that a genuine cat is so expensive, that a cheap after market cat was most likely fitted. If so then the dreaded P0420 will be on or over the horizon.

I hope I am wrong
