Evening Jon,
Do not ever recall seeing a CTS with only one wire although I am not familiar with this model. Normally I find a CTS showing "engine hot" will only cause bad starting from cold and will cause crappy running until engine is hot. Will try and dig something out of AD tomorrow unless someone comes along in the interim to clarify.
