Hi Dave
please check egr valve as well its a common fault for disc on end to break off & then wont start,you can remove unit -retrieve broken disc redrill & large countersink end face of disc,then spot weld disc back onto egr valve rod.
this may not be your problem this time but usually maf sensor fault is flagged when it is the case.
