Go with the bigger nets. Back in the day we did have bigger nets (Roger's net, my net) those were bigger than the ones we have now. The only issue would be that the nets will be heavier for transportation ... but they will also be more robust ... I wouldn't worry about the goalies - I don't think any of the goalies care either way.
