Lynn I was a 46150 at takhli Jun 69-Jun70 I worked in the bomb dump didn't get yo the line very often a few guys u might know Jerry bauman- greg surplus buddy meyer- gene vonderharr ? . Jerry Matthews worked in the bomb dump but his twin brother was a loader. My e mail is old hunter66@yahoo.com

Paul, I was in the bomb dump from Oct. 1967 to Oct. 1968. Was Toni Holdip still there? I think that he was going to extend for another year when I was there? Was there anyone else there from 1968? I remember guys like Suggs, Markham, Kallenbach, and few others.

I was there in 68. Worked in the bomb dump. Can't say I recoginize your name. Maybe you were gone when I got there. BTW do you have any pictures of the bomb dump? Im filing a claim for Agent Orange. They want me to prive that we work outdoors. Any help would be appreciated.

Good Morning Larry, I left in Oct. 1968 and was in the storage area. By the way one day I was on the forklift working in the of the pads when a bomb slid off of the forks and hit the pad. There were 2 guys with me. By any chance were you one of the guys or heard about this. It was never turned in or reported that I know of. As far as picture go there are three pages of photos taken of the base and storage area. Some of the guys that I was there with were Holt, Markham, Suggs, Pollock, Kallenbach, Holdip, Franks, Tubbs. Do you remember any of them. Some photos of the base and mutions area can be seen at the following we site: http://www.flickr.com/photos/gmp3157/sets/72157625942607266/. I personally do not have any photos that I can find.

I was at Takhli from May '69 to May '70 and worked in the Gun Shop along with David Jones, Bob Bender, Tsgt. Herman Day, and CMSgt. Jack Jackson. 4 star General George Brown came in one afternoon while I was straddled an ammo drum, cranking in rounds. Not easy to stand at attention straddling the ammo drum. He got a laugh out of it.

Pretty sure it was. Check out this board there is a map with the 500 meter drift line. My opinion, which probably doesn't count for much, almost everything on Takhli got sprayed one way or the other. Not to mention the insecticide trying to kill the bugs.
