You can do this Dennis, don't give up! We are all here to help you whenever we can. To add to what Lou said, look for: performance reports, medical records, request your entire military record set and go through them with a fine toothed comb, photos you might have or photos you sent to others, letters you sent home to family and friends or letters you received from same that may mention you location, tax records (look for war zone tax exemption status/dates), Shot records, etc. Keep pushing forward Dennis and you will find the magic word that wins your claim.
Thanks Lou. Was just denied a second time. It’s pretty useless from my point of view. One full year in Thailand and I can’t remember a single name only faces.
Denni, You need to prove you by statement of buddy letters that you worked or lived consistently on or near the perimeter of any Thailand air base. This site has a good base map of Takhli showing the base in later years. Do not use AO exposure but tactical herbicide exposure (I know only semantics but important).
It can be done as many of us are proof. You have to cover all the bases in VA Manual M21-1MR, do your homework and save yourself a lot of grief. A physicians letter (NEXUS letter) stating your issue stem from exposure provide a lot of weight. Look up what those need to include too. LouB.
