There can be battles between the engineer and the conductor but it is pretty clear in the rule book. Both sides can use the rule book. Engineers can be really good or just the opposite. There was an engineer on the GTW and his initials were C.F., those who weren't fond of him believed the CF stood for CONSTANT FLOW. In the case of a young conductor you want a good engineer and have respect for one another. Thanks for responding these are nice things to read.
