In Nov. 1981 when Luke and Laura got married, I was pregnant and on bed rest so I had time off from work and got to tune in. I was a GH fan but no way to record then so I missed a lot and over the years I've caught parts of several storylines but there were always holes that I was missing. So just this fall I went back and have been watching their story from almost the beginning. I'm in the Ice Princess storyline now. Yes they do a lot of kissing and that's ok because you as the watcher, fall into their love with them. Their chemistry is unmatched and will never be matched again I feel. Other soaps, even GH has tried to spark the same kind of love interest with characters thru the years, and have never reached the magnitude as Luke and Laura. Their breakup was hard and I still see both their expressions in the rain when they said goodbye to each other. So sad Genie only got one award, she deserved many more. My all time wish, desire, and fantasy for L&L, which probably won't happen, but a girl can fantasize, is that Luke would return for a short time, I know he is done with L&L, but for the fans. Tracy and Luke's feelings would go bye-bye, the other day she mentioned Luke being the love of her life, PUKE! Anyway, Tony would come back and when Genie/Laura and Tony/Luke look at each other, they both state how they look into each others eyes and it brings them back, like there were no time away, and she now knows Luke's not dead, there's been speculation that he didn't die, that their feeling will rekindle. At some point they will run off together and end their love story for the fans. The only drawback is the Genie would be gone but she could come back without Luke, saying he really died this time. Genie takes little vacations here and there and something could happen to her and Kevin's marriage, when she sees Luke. LOL just me fantasizing before Tony gets really ill. Maybe it's my young self not wanting to say goodbye and wanting a little more of the romance of Luke and Laura!!!
