The song serves as a melancholic reflection of the passage of time and the impermanence of youth and love.

I haven't been feeling well lately so I went to my Doctor for a check-up.
He told me I've been stressed out and I was suffering from High Blood-Presssure and needed to rest.
I was also given a Prescription for pills.

I asked the good Doctor if I'm dying?

He folded his arms, looked at me and said:

"Life is a fatal disease, Larry. Once a person is born...they have to die."

I snapped back ----

"If you're tryin' to cheer me up, Doc...it ain't working."









I was 21 years when I wrote this song
