I'm with Ken! I, too, would love it if Simon & Garfunkel were still together and recording new albums.
Ironically, Paul Simon & Art Garfunkel broke up right after their #1 hit song and album "Bridge Over Troubled Water." (1970)
Why? Because Paul insisted he wrote the song for Art as a token of "true friendhsip" and perfect for Art Garfunkel's angelic voice.
At first, Art refused to sing it. Paul insisted and eventually Art Garfunkel caved in.
"Bridge" became a #1 hit and so popular, audiences felt the song belonged to Art Garfunkel and at concerts, Paul Simon would take a back seat.
Resentment on both sides became apparent, and Art wanting to make movies (in Hollywood) complicated Paul Simon & Art Garfunkel recording songs together
for Columbia Records.
Paul reminded Art about who wrote the songs?
Angrily, Art Garfunkel said to Paul Simon:
"No matter who writes the songs or who is more talented, I will always be taller than you."
<> Bridge Over Troubled Water
(a song about "true friendship" huh?)

Goodbye Goodbye Goodbye Goodbye
That's All There Is
And The Leaves That Are Green
Turn To Brown
- Paul Simon (1965)
"Leaves That Are Green" first appeared on Paul Simon's 1965 solo album: "The Paul Simon Songbook"
A year later, it was re-recorded by Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel for their 2nd album* (Columbia Records) entitled:
>>> Sounds of Silence / Simon & Garfunkel <<<
I was 21 years when I wrote this song
I'm 22 now but I won't be for long
Time hurries on
And the leaves that are green turn to brown
And they whither with the wind
And they crumble in your hand

"Sparrow" - also written by Paul Simon
