I was passing through Kingston Crossroads and did not expect to see a post about "Iryna Zarutska".
The televised newscasts of her violent death while she was riding on a bus felt like daggers piercing at our hearts.
My heart goes out to her family and her friends and her co-workers at Zepedie's Pizzeria.
I can just picture this lovely young waitress serving tables and taking orders for pizza & soft drinks, then coffee & dessert;
giving superb service and receiving a well deserved tip. Possibly saying to customers: "Hope to see you again soon."
After her shift ended, Iryna was getting ready to leave the restaurant and make her way home, but she never got there.
Little did Iryna Zarutska know that August 22nd, 2025, would be her last day on Earth. Little did her family or her friends or her co-workers know.
Nobody knew.

Iryna Zarutska (23), who fled the war in Ukraine only to be stabbed to death in what appears to be a random attack
without provocation and without any reason on August 22nd.
Killed while riding home on a bus, by a man with a history of criminal charges and psychiatric (incl violent) problems.

Iryna Zarutska worked at Zepedies Pizzeria (Charlotte, NC) as a waitress, and on their website,
they honored her with an RIP Notation expressing sympathy and condolences to her Family and Friends.
