The Beatles opened for our guys in England. Bob Shane told Paul McCartney (backstage) The Beatles were the best band he heard in a long time.
They should come to America.
We all know the rest. But many of us KT fans also became Beatles fans and bought their records.
For whatever reason, Paul McCartney became my favorite. For the record (pun intended) the "Sgt Pepper" album was Paul's idea.
On an airplane, the person sitting beside Paul asked him to please pass the salt 'n pepper.
Paul McCartney looks at this guy and says: "Did you say pass the Sergeant Pepper" ?
Fast Forward to 1969 when Paul McCartney married Linda Eastman.
Paul told Linda he wanted to form a band and wanted her to be up on stage with him.
Linda did not like the idea. She told Paul that Mick Jagger would never ask his "old lady" to join him on stage.
Paul snapped back: "Well, screw him.
Linda says: "I already have."
