I like the bride's gown. It's simple but elegant, and her veil is beautiful. I like that the gown did not have a train.

A couple of ladies wore jumpsuits. I know jumpsuits are in style right now, but not for a wedding. The flower girls looked adorable. As for the gents, I do love a well-cut and well-tailored morning suit and didn't see any disasters.

Even the Scottish weather didn't put a damper on the wedding.

Gloucestershire is in South West England and on the border with Wales. England has been having torrential rain. Scotland (at least my corner of Scotland) has had drizzle today.

My grandmother wore a pink suit and matching hat when she married my grandfather (he wore a pink bow tie to match her) as it was the second marriage for both. White would have been frowned upon. Those days are long gone. Nowadays nowadays brides wear whatever color they want.

Why on earth anyone thought Mr. Mountbatten Windsor and Them would be invited is beyond me.

Gotta mention the outcasts for clicks, I guess. The York sisters were there, I'm glad they aren't being ostracized for the sins of their parents. As for H & M, this is another family event their children have missed.

I don't think the dress would have stood out to me so much if not for the veil. If she *had* to wear a white dress, then colored flowers would have been lovely.

The press has been harping about H&M attending the wedding since Peter and Harriet announced their engagement. This was to be the huge "reunion" event between brothers, Harry reaching out first (scraggy olive branch) to William...not a chance. No one will invite them...the wife would make sure to grab the cameras.
Harriet looked nice, but....45, second marriage, the bridal gown and veil,,,not to my taste. However, that's been the trend for many years now, need I point out the "other" wedding with the bride marrying a second time (or third, if rumors are correct) wearing the whole bridal garb. Everyone looked very nice, except Eugenie could have done better...yes, she's pregnant, but she can afford a stylist to find her something pretty, stylish, and very comfortable.

Well, the two people who could have loaned a tiara - Anne and Charles, married the second time sans tiaras, white bridal gowns and veils.

I think the message they were sending is "Yes, it's your wedding and you can wear what you want rather than follow the old-fashioned rules, however, we get to decide whether we want to supply part of your outfit."

When will Harriet ever wear a tiara again? Peter and Autumn never attended State Banquets, the same now for Peter and Harriet. They will be at Ascot and The Trooping....I assume, no tiaras there. The Christmas lunch..no tiaras. I can see the loaner.
All that I've read about Harriet, she seems very nice, but the wedding was just too much for a second wedding.

I don't imagine Harriet will have any reason to wear a tiara again in the future. I can, however, see Savannah and Isla wanting to wear a tiara on their respective wedding day and no doubt Granny Anne would allow them to borrow one of hers.

I'm not crazy about Harriet going full first-time bride. I think a beautiful green gown would have been perfect, along with flowers in her hair.

The hat the Princess Royal wore at the Wedding yesterday she also wore 45 years ago at the Christening of her daughter Zara Tindall.
