H&M don't want to be working royals. They are not on the list anyway. So none of their events with not-for-profit bodies were as working royals.

H&M want to be royals working for themselves. But that is against the rules for royals.

So either -
H&M must drop all royal attributes to do all their work totally privately-
or
have all royal attributes stripped from them.

There is no half and half position.

Absolutely correct Nellie. I've been thinking about this. In the previous Sussex thread, a video mentioned that the possibility of the Palace being behind this trip...no, the Palace wasn't, I believe the Sussexes are behind that rumor, either that or Sunshine Sachs.
In another article in the thread, a "source" was gushing at how Harry and Meghan have proven on this visit that "Royals really can be half in and half out", the source was probably one of their staff. It was put in such a way that the Palace not only set up the visit or approved, the other impression is that the Palace has given the okay or approval for Harry and Meghan's half in/half out position. Harry's statement made it sound as if he was speaking in his "official" capacity. Which he wasn't.
I think Palace should release a statement that the Sussexes are not working Royals and their position remains in place as per the late Queen and has not changed. They are not half in/half out and the Palace was in no way involved in this trip. It won't happen, but that's my feeling. The Palace needs to clear up any doubts.

I wonder if part of the problem is that Harry's father *is* the head of state of Australia, and he had to be treated as such.

You have identified what I've been grappling with. Thank you.

Australia is a constitutional monarchy with a head of state who, for the time being, is the UK monarch.

We do not have a royal family.

We extend proper deference, courtesy and respect to the UK monarch (and spouse) when they visit.

This also extends to the heir (and spouse) as a courtesy.

That is all.

As regards the UK, I think it was Prince Philip who is often quoted advising a newcomer to the royal family. "It is not about you. It is about what you are representing."

Harry and Meghan didn't made this "visit" purely about themselves as we know. They couldn't make about who they represent because they weren't on this visit at the behest of the UK Govt. and they're not working Royals.
They lied about the security and lied about what they would be doing in Australia. The initial explanation was the "girl's retreat" for Meghan and the mental health gathering that Harry was featured in.....it was only when they landed that the other "activities" just happened to pop up. Oh, and the SoHo House opening which was never mentioned in the press and the Sussexes must not have attended.
It was also very coincidental that this visit took place right before the observances of what would have been the late QEII's 100th birthday. This whole visit popped up out of nowhere despite their PR stating it had been in the planning for months....nonsense. They had to get in the spotlight ahead of the late Queen's birthday observance.

Good for that young woman, she had every right to be on the beach and enjoy her day, not to kowtow to the two fake grifters.

An aside, Yahoo news had article about the Sussexes and one thing that was mentioned was that they also a had a film crew with them everywhere, Netflix? It didn't say. I won't post the article because it hasn't been mentioned elsewhere. We'll have to find out or maybe not.

She always makes sure there is a film crew, or at least photographers, when She or They are out grifting. A film crew accompanying Her to Australia fits right in with that.

So what was the purpo$e of the Australia trip? For Harry to show Charles that being a halfsie royal can work? But work for whom? And at what cost?

Wasn't the agreement Harry made with Queen Elizabeth not to commercialize his royal status? This "tour" proves that neither of them are "half in", as they've done nothing to support the monarchy or represent GB. They've shown up to promote and commercialize themselves, but no one else. So they aren't "half in" on being royals, they're just all-in on the grift.

It's the very last story on the newscast. I agree with the two newswomen, tough luck, sweethearts. They were dumb enough to pay a ton of money on that farce....hard lesson. As I wrote several days ago, I wouldn't pay 99 cents to see Harry, Meghan or the both of them.
Supposedly, Harry didn't get paid for his appearance at the mental health thing, that's a huge lie, these two don't do anything without charging a fee.

This "surprise" trip was not only made for reasons I wrote in a previous post, but to overshadow the King and Queen's visit to the US in a couple of days. In addition, Harry's remarks concerning the President, were made, I believe, in an attempt to sabotage the Royal visit to the US and the King meeting with the President.
I would like to know how much Harry was paid to attend the security forum. His presence and remarks on Ukraine's war is so laughable. He continues to demonstrate his lack of intelligence.

Harry is a member of the Royal Family, but......he's not a working Royal....there's a difference. Andrew was stripped of his titles/honors and he wasn't a working Royal for quite a while, but he still is a member of the Family.

He is bitter over percieved slights and imaginary wrongs. He's a lot like the late Duke of Windsor, who also felt aggrieved and blamed everyone but his wife for what he did to himself. He should have his styles and titles removed.
