Nigerian State Visit to the UK

The State visit is taking place during Ramadan and it's been stated that the President will break his fast privately at sunset before joining the King and Queen for the state banquet.

Catherine looks beautiful, as usual, but she needs to wear her hair up for tiara events. She used to wear a chignon or similar in the past. Why is she now going for the hair down look?

Jewels! I still think the Belgian Sapphire Necklace tiara looks much better on Queen Camilla than QEII. It's the hairstyle, I think.
I could be wrong, but I think the gown the Princess of Wales has worn for the banquet, I swear we've seen it before..it looks familiar. The high collar, long sleeves and dark green may reflect the fact that the President and First Lady are Muslim and observing Ramadan or it was that Catherine just wanted to wear that gown.
I'm just excited to see the City of London choker and Queen Mary's Pearl Fringe Necklace! The Duchess of Gloucester didn't disappoint in with the Art Deco clips either.

We have definitely seen that gown before. I think she wore it with a jeweled built at one point.

The Princess of Wales dress was a tribute to Nigeria as green is part of the Nigerian flag (green and white). The white of the pearls in her tiara could also be a representative of the flag. The dress is by Andrew Gn. She has worn this designer before. Maybe a similar dress.

The embroidery on the sleeves of the Princess Royal's dress is amazing.

I saw a snippet that said she first wore this dress when she was 18!

The first lady of Nigeria is a Pentecostal minister.

I loved seeing the duchess of Gloucester, but I did think the way she positioned the Garter star was odd.

I do think the Garter star should be on the left, positioned as Anne has it, but not on the waist and extremely far left so as to be easily missed as Camilla has her star.

The Star is supposed to go over the heart, not down and to the back.
