This morning I visited this Exhibition at the King's Galley, Holyrood Palace. It was stunning and I enjoyed seeing up close and in the flesh, so to speak, well known paintings and also some of Queen Alexandra's Faberge collection. The highlight for me was Queen Alexandra's Coronation gown.

Queen Alexandra's Coronation gown. Obvously has faded over time, but can you imagine how it must of glittered and gleam of the gold fabric. The embroidery is exquisit.

Famous painting by Danish painter Tuxen of Queen Victoria and her family. It was painted to mark her Golden Jubilee.



Faberge.



Faberge, Rock Crystal imitating stone being carried on a sledge. With sleeping worker on top of the stone. The sledge is made of gold.
