We had to drive through that from Virginia to Florida. We had about 8" covered by 2" ice. Took two days to dig us out then we left for Florida (business, not pleasure) It was terrible. And cold, cold, cold in Florida. And while we were away, our house sitter informed us that we were out of propane--six weeks after a full 500 gal tank was delivered. Tells you how cold it was. Spent 1 1/2 hours on hold before finally reaching our propane company. We were expedited because we have an auto fill contract with them. Still took three days to get propane. Meanwhile, our poor house sitter had no heat, no hot water, and no way to cook. Finally got filled last night. And we will be home tomorrow. Spending the night in Georgia!
