I have friends in Atlanta, Madison, and Athens who got hit, too. Five inches of snow is enough to shut Georgia down. I lived in Athens for ten years (Go Dawgs!) and I don;t recall ever getting that much snow. Here in Colorado we are begging for the white stuff. Our snowpack in the mountains is less than fifty percent of normal. If we don't get snow, then we're looking at a horrendous drought in both sides of the Divide.
