I think it will be option 3, that Mette-Marit will withdraw from royal life with her royal status "suspended" so she can focus on her health and not being a skank. That would give her a way back when Haakon become king, provided the public can stomach her then.

If she and Haakon were to divorce, my hunch is that it would be a York-style divorce and they would stay together. To me it looks like Haakon still loves Mette-Marit, unless there was a physical component to the friendship that we don't know about that he couldn't forgive.

It strikes me that she's not as loud and money-grubbing as Sarah Ferguson but is almost as vulgar. I wonder what Ingrid Alexandra and Sverre Magnus are thinking.
