My take: Meghan's publicist called either Thomas Jr.or the hospital, shoved Meghan onto the phone and ordered her to talk to her father. I also think Meghan sees the possibilities of milking this terrible thing to Garner attention and sympathy. Then there's the estate and possible money from it. If Thomas dies, Meghan will want a chunk of whatever assets he has. Talking to him might get her back in the will if he's cut her out.

I hope Tom recovers. And I hope he can finally meet Archie, Lili, and Harry. Meghan will make sure the paps will be there to record the moment.
