Whether it's ugly or not really isn't the question. The Sussexes had an agreement with the late queen not to monetize, market or commercialize Harry's royal heritage and they've reneged on the agreement at every turn. Is this Meghan thumbing her nose at the late monarch yet again or is that the logo of a company unrelated Sussexland? If that bag is a prototype of MeghanMerch, it's another strike against them. I doubt Harry brought it up to Charles for his approval during their tea. Charles may wait until the last months of his reign to strip them of their titles, but I don't think he wants that action to be part of his legacy. They won't go down without a fight, and Charles doesn't want a familial brawl that will gin up yet more uncomfortable headlines.

William will have no problem being ruthless in dealing with his brother, and the precedent has been set for a king to force an errant brother to the hinterlands. I don't think he's afraid of what the Sussexes will do or say.
