Marina also said horrible things about her parents. She stated that when they found out she was pregnant, they "ordered" her to have either a shotgun marriage or an abortion. She further stated that when she refused their "demands", they disowned her and cut off all money to her.
Angus and Alexandra issued a flat out denials towards what Marina had stated. I can't even imagine how embarrassing and the feelings of betrayal they felt.
Marina did eventually reconcile with her family. In the last several years, she and her daughter have been very close to Alexandra.
