I haven't read the article yet, so thanks for the heads up. I also remember the circus surrounding Marina. She did several interviews where she attacked the monarchy and so on and left her mother extremely distressed. She was five or six months pregnant when she married Paul, too.

Marina was lucky that the Queen was willing to help her by providing a home for her and her children when it turned out Paul was mentally and physically abusive.
