Glenn has thrived on teh Beach, heck she might be playing the 5s at TCU if that
she has graduated
I agree it has gotten silly with chasing NCs, well chasing money.
For our #1s, Long Beach is the closed school to their family in San Diego, and they have carved out a fantastic resume/reputation at Beach and at 1s end up playing all the top teams, I'm not sure they could get a better explerience anywhere else.
I just wish Malia would try indoors!!! lol Previous Message
Good rebuttal and I don't disagree. They also have a promising professional career ahead of then. It's just unfortunate that this new structure of college athletics (portal and nil) is going to make it tough for us to retain high caliber athletes for their entire eligibility. Time will tell Previous Message
I find it interesting a lot of people today believe top players need to chase a team national championship. Very few great players win one of those and personal success is much greater than that. This pair has grown and has become very successful under Mike here at LBSU. I personally would take more pride if I could help LBSU reach the final four then just join a stacked team that wins the whole thing on a regular basis. Becoming just another cog and typical player at that school or make some history at LBSU. Its all or nothing now days. Previous Message
Don't you think Malia and Taylor deserve a shot to win a title in their final year of eligibility? As much as I would hate to see them leave they deserve an opportunity to win it all. Unfortunately that opportunity is not with us. I also wish Natalie the best and thank her for her years with us. Previous Message
wish her well, she was a transfer that thrived both indoor and outdoor, was a big part of the championship Beach teams winning two Big West titles.
& she graduates with a degree, understandable for getting a Master's elsewhere , especially in her home state.
it's a big loss still for next year's beach squad
would have liked to see what she could do playing the 2s.
just hoping/praying our #1 pair stays Previous Message
I think she's from Texas so playing her final collegiate year at home. Wish her the best!
