Jim's map of Bay County
Posted by aghudley on 11/23/2017, 8:44 am, in reply to "Re: Following the line"
Here is Jim's map of the Saginaw Bay and Northwestern in Bay County. It's a 3.3 MB file, so it may take some time to pop up. The remainder of the branch to Raymond(s) comes out of Arenac County, from the line leaving the top of this map in section 4. The Arenac County portion is documented in Jim's new book In the Pines
. I understand He is working on the next tier of counties south of what the book covers. I asked him to send me the Gladwin County portion to share if he is willing. Jim puts a lot of time and effort into this and uses a lot of resources.
Jim's book is a wonderful hard cover book about logging railroads in northern lower Michigan. The map you see is draft that is similar to many in the book. The book is a limited printing. Remaining copies are available at the link above.
Thanks Jim for sharing your hard work.
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone.
