I'd be hesitant to say that such a branch didn't exist. I've seen vintage maps of the area, and aerial photos, and there's several branches along the Gladwin line that seem to have been wiped off the face of the planet. We all have to remember that the branches on that line have been gone from 80-100+ years now. Woods have grown back up, fields farmed over, etc. Armed with multiple maps, aerial photos and the like, I've parked right on top of former branch lines, yet there was not a visible trace to be found.
