I don't know where Dale (owner of the this forum and michiganrailroads.com) got the information about a branch from Highwood to Raymond. Meints books are based on his research of corporate and other records.
IOTW, I doubt there was a branch line from Highwood to Raymond. The branch line to Raymond originated at Mount Forest.
I guess I should ask, do you consider the vicinity of Bowmanville and Wildwood roads to have been the location of Raymond?
There were several short spurs in the general vicinity(10 miles or so) of Highwood. Possibly those were the reasoning behind someone thinking a branch left Highwood for Raymond?
