When you make a correction here please put down the full name, school, weight class, division. Single names don't mean much when there are hundreds of kids being tracked. Thanks for your help and understanding.

He is ranked 1A 190lbs ranked 2nd I think his last name is hard to spell

I have a new ranker in 1A this year and I just told him to make sure he checks this message board regularly for reports like this and the one on Torres.

I think the poster is referring to Sawyer Meulbeur not sure of spelling he wrestled at White Salmon last year and is at Skyview this year.

Just wanted to say thanks for getting the rankings out in a timely matter. I know that this year might have some mistakes early on because so many schools changed divisions this year(like 3a schools going to 4a/2a and 1a schools going to 2a) but it's good to get a inital foundation that can be changed in future iterations of the rankings

I already addressed that in another post. The 4A/3A ranker has had a lot going on but plans to have them updated sometime this week. I will post those as soon as I receive them. Thanks for your patience.

Good morning,

I don't know that the rankings are that updated. Just looking at few of the top kids at 106 and 113 alone from 1A several of those kids have been wrestling at 132, 126, 120 yet ranked at 106 and 113. It looks as if rankings were developed from taking out the seniors from last years mat classic and moving up the other placers, participants, alternates etc. If fans want to come on the site to gather a fair assessment of the pecking order, their should be a little more research and effort put into it. I appreciate your willingness to volunteer as a ranker but a more thorough job needs to be done.

Early rankings are usually just removing seniors. That’s why it’s funny people are so eager to get early rankings. We need three to 4 weeks of info to really rank kids for their new weights.

This is more than just early rankings. They have 3 weeks of competition including several duels, two big tournaments including Edmonds woodway and tri-state and several other tournaments throughout the state which provide good info to put kids at their appropriate weight. There should be a relatively accurate competitve landscape pictured at this point which can be fined tuned and adjusted slightly based on week to week results. Simply removing seniors and keeping all other wrestlers at their weights from last year should not be the strategy 3 weeks into competition.

If you actually read the heading of the 1A rankings, you would realize that they are dated November 16th, so they are preseason rankings. This thread is for the B rankings which have since been updated. Please don't be one of those who feels entitled to something when the work is being done by someone else.

Thank you. B rankings are the only ones that have been updated beyond the pre-season. I have already covered this in other posts. Updates will be soon, once the volunteers have time to complete them.

Anything before Christmas is early rankings. Some kids aren’t even wrestling at their goal weight yet. So it’s hard to rank kids when they have been in two. Weight classes so far and may go down one more.
