1. I doubt anybody on this board has ever walked in those shoes. (There might be one or two).
2. Most college coaches show up and take over something, not in this case.
Everything had to be created. This includes all the administrative stuff that most programs can roll over from year to year. (Budgets, Policy, Schedules, recruiting strategy and execution).
All the material items required of the program, down to scoreboards, tape , singlets. There was nothing.
There was no footprint, impact and influence on or from within the athletic program. This all has to be created. Call it politics, call it liaison, call it whatever you want, but this alone is very necessary, ambiguous, and variable.
So when judgement is passed on this guy, what metric or benchmark is anybody in this state or on this board actually using?
