Agreed We have been to Reno worlds for 10 years running. It is a fun tournament, but it certainly isn’t the tournament of the past. It’s a good regional tournament, but certainly not a national championship. This goes for some of the USA wrestling national tournaments as well. Washington kids go to preseason nationals and win matches or even place, but the ranked guys aren’t there, because they go to super 32 a week prior, yet these tournaments claim national championships. Same with rmn. Even the nhsa nationals is by grade, so that isn’t a hs national title either. Tough tournament yes. You will find the ranked high school kids at super 32 in NC, usaw Folkstyle Nationals in Iowa, and Fargo ND. Of course there’s a few more than this, but you get the point. I am not talking shit, I love our wrestlers traveling out of state for competition, but it’s very easy to know where the ranked dudes are and aren’t. Just an observation and opinion about having 20 so called national championships. good luck to our boys in Fargo this year, let’s bring home some real AA hardware
