The problem is::: anybody can register for state, that means you have 1300 kids who do not belong at state because all 1300 daddy's registered within 3 weeks then on the 4th week they shut it down when it hit 1700 kids. Then wswa allowed a few 100 more to make things right. BOTTOM LINE IS STATE SHOULD BE A QUALIFIER EVENT TO REGISTER. Bam, problem solved and you will have a great tournament with qualified wrestlers. Now State is gonna be real lame, guarenteed!!! If wswa wants to have a everybody in their mother state championship , they should make it a 2 day event! Everyone gets a trophy mindset.
