Coaches need to learn to use the tools at hand. Nearly all tournaments are done on Track now. We all have our phones out to follow and see if we have a wrestler coming up and on what mat.
Very simple for a coach while on Track to click "Results" and select their team. From there you can see all your wrestlers and see if anyone is getting close to a match limit. And as the coach you should know that this should only be able happen to wrestlers that lost in either the first or second round of wrestling. It's not that hard to know right from the beginning of the day which wrestlers could run into this issue.
Even if you don't use your phone during the day of tournaments, it's not that hard to ask your wrestler before they go out to wrestle a consolation finals or consolation semifinals match how many matches they wrestled today.
Everyone needs to remember that this is the type of issue that opens you up for a lawsuit. If you allow a wrestler to wrestle that 7th match or 11th on a two-day tournament and they get injured, you are now opened up to being sued by a parent.
