Fiat Grand Punto 1.4 2008 - No crank situation #

BCM

U1705-87 Receiver Radio (NRR)

B1001-13 Key Transponder

This is a No Crank situation

I have checked all the fuses and I have Had he Key checked.

Does the "key" warning light in the instrument cluster stay on or flash? How did you get the key checked? I would check the main engine/chassis earth strap between the gearbox and the chassis leg,under battery.

Hi Thanks for the reply, I have had a jump lead from the gearbox to the chassis, The key has been checked by a mobile guy that has cut and programmed many keys for us over many years,
The padlock key on the dash goes off then comes strait back on and is solid but does not flash.

It is as if it reads the key then goes in to immobilizer mode, then if I turn the key off and back on fast the engine cranks for a few seconds, until the padlock/immobilizer light comes on.

Update

I Have swapped the ECU,BCM,Clocks,and Key from a known good car, The car starts ans runs perfect now. So I now know it is not anything else that is the problem. I am now going to put the original stuff back in the car and have a another look at what is not happening, It must be the BCM verses a Key issue.
